Art Journal - Image Transfer

This week on my Art Journal Journey we got to play and make lots of mess with image transfer. Now as we all know I don't like to get my hands all messy and for the last 2 weeks I have been playing with paints and getting VERY MESSY! This week was the same as I painted my own backgrounds using Acrylic paints. I have used a image from Tiddly Inks for this page too. And added a saying that I found on Pinterest.
I have used Gel Medium to transter the writing on the backing paper, and I really love the effect, and its something I will be using a lot more!

My Art Journal.

I had a day in London yesterday with my daughter, we went to the National Gallery. The Sunflowers we my daughters favourites and I loved Monet's paintings AMAZING!

Then we walked down to Piccadily and into a shop called Cool Britainna and there bag has inspired me to have a little play in my art journal today!

I first used gesso, then added acrylics followed by water colour pencils and lots of stamps from Portabello Road set. The bull dog and "Cool Britainnia" where cut from the bag that inspired this page!

Art Journal - Week 6

This weeks challenge over at UK Scrappers Art Journey ia all about layers. Now when I first saw the prompt I was SCARED! It was all about layering paints and papers and well all sorts - things I've not done before and the shopping list was for Acrylic paints! I've only ever painted with watercolours before but after just getting stuck in and remembering there's no right or wrong way about having a go I ended up with a double spread page - and I LOVE IT :0)
I think more paint ended up on me and more glue too but it was fun and I'll be trying this again, I'm really enjoying getting stuck in and trying different techniques and I'm sure this can only be a good thing for my card making too!

My Art Journal.

This weeks prompt over on UK Scrappers Art Journal was about Journalling, now I'm useless putting words down on paper but this weeks challenge I think I managed to follow it quite well. We had to cut words out of magazines and use them as the prompt to build a page around it - but I couldn't seem to do that so I ended up using the phrase that kept going around my head itself - Why couldn't I find the right words at all! So that is what I used. I also saw this girl on Pinterest and thought she would be perfect to go along with my idea too.

My Art Journal.

Earlier in the year I said I wanted to have a go at making a Art Journal. After looking for something on UK Scrappers I came across a AJ course that runs for 6 months and every week there will be inspiration to try and get my head thinking out of the box as far as my crafting.

This week its all to do with Colours and I have used orange and yellows, with the hope it make me feel warmer and as it feels like its ages away.

I'm not sure its right or I'm even on the right path you but I thought I'd share it with you and maybe you might have some ideas!
